East Sussex Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)

NHS help for children and young people up to the age of 18 who are experiencing a range of emotional wellbeing or mental health difficulties. Referral is usually through GP or school, but parents and carers can refer their child.

Health in Mind

If you are 17 and a half years years of age, or older, you can refer yourself to Health in Mind for free therapy and courses to help with stress, anxiety and low mood. Use the online referral form to request an assessment for therapy, or  go to the 'courses' page if you want to attend a stress control course, or request online counselling.

Shinewater Shaftesbury Centre

If you are 18 years of age, or older, you can refer yourself for free counselling. They also offer advice about debt and money issues, benefits, housing, pensions and employment issues, consumer and community issues.
