Families often have lots of questions before they start working with somebody new. Here are some frequently asked questions:

  • Where can you see my child?

We can meet with you and your child in your own home, in a local office, out and about in the local community, or in schools and colleges by agreement .

  • When can you meet with my child?

Appointments are generally available Monday to Friday 9am-3pm.

  • How often will you see my child?

We will usually meet once a week, for around 45 minutes.

  • What does it cost?

Please call or e-mail for a discussion about cost; Eastbourne Wellbeing strives to offer a competitively priced service.

  • Do I need to be there and will you tell me what my child says?

Involvement from parents and carers is welcomed; however, every wellbeing plan is different, and we will all decide collaboratively with your child what will work best for them.

  • What is involved?

Your child's therapist will ask questions to find out about your child and the obstacles they feel they are facing. Your child will learn various ideas and strategies to help them to overcome their difficulties and to manage their symptoms; we call these Skills for Life!

  • What if my child just wants a one-off appointment or a couple of wellbeing sessions?

Please call or e-mail to discuss your child's needs; we work flexibly to suit each individual.

  • What about advice relating to UCAS, or if my teenager is NEET?

This usually requires fewer appointments, depending on what your child needs help with. Please call or e-mail for a discussion.

  •  What if my child misses an appointment?

We ask for 24 hours notice for appointment cancellations, otherwise full fees are payable.

  • Is this a confidential service?

Eastbourne Wellbeing primarily offers a confidential service, however, there are legal exclusions which are discussed during assessment.
